5 Tips For Taking Feedback Like a Champ
This was an interesting article as many of the aspects of taking feedback poorly are things I have done in the past. Its really easy to misinterpret feedback on a state as an attack on a personal trait. I remember hearing my parents tell me, "don't take it too personally", whenever they would offer criticisms. Overall, the article aimed to inform the reader to take criticism in a positive light and use it to better oneself.
Overcoming The Fear Of Feedback
This article dove into the science behind feedback, making it a very interesting read for a math/science student. The fact that our minds have a tendency towards negative bias was a new piece of information. Furthermore, the act of giving feedback was found to be egocentric as well. People want to be liked so they provide more positive feedback rather than criticisms. Lastly, I found the Starbucks example to be quite interesting as I never thought working at Starbucks would involve that much consideration to the type of customers one encounters.
